GroupCollect built success, trust, and name recognition with a registration and payment platform for group travel. They wanted to leverage their well-known name, but the challenge of extending “GroupCollect” to several new products required a rename of their best known app “GroupCollect” to “GroupCollect Register.” We refreshed, expanded, and built upon their strong brand equity to create a new logo system for a growing suite of applications.

Getting better and better every year. Less manpower, More Improvements and Efficiency
Ruby Central is a nonprofit organization that serves the Ruby programming language community. Ruby — and its popular web framework, Rails — are used by thousands of developers every day to build many of the most popular sites on earth.
Two major events per year form the backbone of their support for the community — RubyConf and RailsConf. These conferences have played a major role in furthering the dialogue around Ruby and Rails, as well as providing support for the existing members of the community while fostering an environment for new developers to find success in the industry.
Alongside Ruby Central staff and board members, many volunteers participate in making these events happen both on and offline. As a nonprofit with large numbers of volunteers, a top priority is respecting everyone’s time by assigning meaningful tasks that further the mission of the organization.

How Jute was able to meet the needs of more customers with a few tweaks and the right help.
A lot of work, time, and — yes — money goes into building a website, but for small business owners, there are far too many benefits to ignore having an online presence. From driving your business’ success through searchability to curating and maintaining control over how the business is perceived by customers, it is nearly impossible to operate a successful enterprise without a website. Unfortunately for many small business owners, the necessary expenditure of the aforementioned resources is simply not practical. This is where Jute comes in.
Jute Pages, born in 2021, is a website building platform that hopes to alleviate the burden of creating a simple-yet-beautiful website for companies that require an online presence but lack the time, money, or skill-set required to create one on their own. Like any greenfield software product, a totally new software environment requires development from a clean slate and, therefore, getting it off the ground was no easy task. That’s why the Jute team called upon Flagrant to make their back-of-the-napkin idea a reality.

Flagrant was enlisted by its frequent collaborator and partner, Fly Media Productions, to support the site’s development and technical build.

GroupCollect and Flagrant partnered to develop working code quickly, but also guided product design
GroupCollect provides a platform that lets tour operators manage participants in group travel experiences—such as school organizations—to collect registration payments. Founder and CEO Corey Black saw an opportunity to grow the business into a stem-to-stern solution that would manage the entire process for group travel, from creating the original quote and collecting registration to making payments and executing tour operations. To achieve this goal, however, GroupCollect would need to build three new applications.
