Delightful Reveal #58
A bi-weekly update on all things Flagrant
“A matchbook is technically a book, no take backs!” - overheard at Flagrant
What we did:
- Designed a fabulous sign up flow for an AI product for developers.
- Prepared multiple print assets for Madison+ Ruby and talked to a bunch of printers about materials and deadlines
- Met with a new client to go over their needs for a new logo and then began brainstorming some ideas based on our conversation.
- Dug deeply into Multiple Database Support in Rails to help with a migration away from active_record_slave as part of Rails 6+ upgrade
- Created a Module concern designed to be used with prepend to wrap ActiveJob perform methods as a block.
- Send Training Tracker designs to print
- Working on design and content strategy on a marketing website for the Improv Effect
- Hosted a Madison+ Ruby meetup in the Cisco Meraki offices in Manhattan reminding people that they like getting together in-person with like minded people.
- Changed a CSV import process from a slow (with large files) direct passthrough to a direct file upload (not even using a webhook!)
- Created themes for a client’s UI library using Figma’s Variable Modes after defining a color system for them
