What we did:

  • Got VIM working with COC (Conquer Of Completion) to help with developing on a React/Typescript front end.
  • Wrestled with pagination and filtering within a bridgetown app
  • Several weirdos are vacationing in Asia
  • Several weirdos attended RubyConf in Chicago
  • Building a design system leveraging figma variables and components for a client
  • Building skeuomorphic toolbars inspired by school supplies for an app that helps children learn to read
  • Implementing a complex filter component
  • Removing unused code!

What we’re interested in:

  • Last darkroom class (printing negatives)
  • Getting a keyholder membership to a local ceramics studio. Waiting for approval……..
  • Pasta flights at a restaurant in Milwaukee

What we’re struggling with:

  • Anxiety
  • Dog recovering from surgery
  • Shutting down the porch and cleaning gutters to prepare for winter 🙁
  • Some uncertainty with my Sister’s care, but working on it
  • State of the world
  • Getting swiped by a big dump truck on a blind curve
  • Styling vector shapes and strokes and shadows in Figma components (just gave up and switched to Illustrator)
  • The muck of deciding what color variables are needed and what to name them for a new design system

  • Adopting new kitties!
  • A visit to Brandywine
  • Surgery for Finn was successful
  • Sweater weather
  • Heading to see the latest show up at the Mortal Machine Gallery
  • Getting to reconnect with a friend
  • Taking a trip tomorrow to the regional ceramic supply store to stock up
  • Restoring a hoop house damaged by treefall during Hurricane Helene
