What we did:

  • Finished a blog post on styling disabled buttons with Hotwire
  • Learned about using nip.io to allow me to use my mobile device while testing on my local environment
  • Wrestling with inline styling
  • Experimented with STI (single-table inheritance) to support flexible multi-tenancy settings
  • Deep dive into all the ways prices are represented in our system so we can create consistent visual language
  • Set up a new class of user (consumer, rather than provider) for a system
  • Worked on Brewing up goodwill
  • Paired with Glynnis to work on Madison+ Ruby responsiveness and styling
  • Good conversations with our client’s client and starting to build a relationship with them to participate in the feedback process
  • Wrapped up designs for a huge new feature
  • Redesigned RailsConf 2024 website
  • Met with CAT-Hiring to dig deeper into defining and revising our hiring process
  • Researched ways to improve our hiring process in response to CAT-Hiring needs
  • Creates social media assets for RailsConf 
  • Met with Jen to talk about Training Tracker projects
  • Created floor decals for a client to use at an upcoming expo
  • Started working on custom swag for the same customer
  • Enhanced read-only feature to allow attachment viewing
  • Attended the Madison College Portfolio show and saw a bunch of old classmates and instructors
  • Hired a front-end developer, SaVance Ford
  • Paired on a new client project, began working on components of the design
  • Onboarded Kelly to support an existing project

  • Increased my NAS storage space, about 3x
  • My friend’s event this weekend
  • Seeing old friends and getting pumped about design
  • Sleeved all the Unmatched cards
